Our work in this project

Our team's objectives encompass three key tasks within the scope of AGORA.

Mapping citizen engagement initiatives - Task 1.1 involves an extensive review and update of existing citizen engagement initiatives databases related to climate change adaptation, including marine and freshwater domains. This task utilises desk research, literature review, and interviews with key stakeholders to identify projects and activities engaging citizens, forming the foundation for Task 1.2.

Evaluating engagement methodologies - In Task 1.2, methodologies used in current climate adaptation and citizen engagement projects will be thoroughly reviewed and analysed through a survey. Best practices and lessons learned will be identified, shaping an evaluation framework to enhance citizen and stakeholder engagement methods. The results will be validated in a peer-to-peer learning workshop.

Why is this work relevant?

This work is the first pillar in shaping AGORA and will create a map of national, European and international projects and citizen involvement initiatives and establish a link to each of them. This will allow connecting initiatives among each other, as well as allow project partners to gain further insights to improve citizen engagement during the conduction of the pilot studies.
